Doug has more than 30 years of progressive leadership experience in the medical device and distribution industry. He founded his own physician distribution company which he grew to $30 million and then sold to Taylor Medical, ran that to $125 million and sold that to PSS which he led to $1.5 billion. Doug has had success in founder and family-run businesses, public and private, as well as a recent PE-owned distribution company. He has also held the critical President position in a small $40-million manufacturer (Brewer) as well as two large public companies (one manufacturer and one distributor) that grew from $300-400 million to more than $1.5 billion (Invacare and PSS). As Doug has evolved his career, he has gained expertise across all functions, but he recognized throughout the medical distribution industry as an exemplary sales and marketing executive. He has launched new products, developed private label product portfolios from scratch and negotiated multiple M&A transactions (as well as divestitures).
