Success depends on maintaining positive attitudes, setting goals, and working toward them with unyielding determination. My drive to help others succeed is derived from years of experience in change management and leadership development for one of America’s most recognized companies.During the civil rights era, I was one of the first African Americans to integrate the Baltimore, Maryland public school system at six years old. I rose to lead lobbyist and Human Resources executive at a Fortune 10 corporation. I assisted in creating the first corporate learning center (with the help of Noel Tichy and Zig Ziglar) where I coached more than 10,000 employees to prepare them for the breakup of the last regulated monopoly in the United States, the Bell system. I am certified by the Jim Bolt Leadership Academy and the John Maxwell program.I pioneered industry milestones including modernizing hiring standards to remove barriers to entry for minorities. I served as executive coach to a CEO as he presided over the largest merger in telecommunications industry history. While at AT&T, I served as executive coach to 2 CEOs, 28 senior executives and dozens of middle managers. In 2013, I was in an automobile accident and was not expected to walk again. Today I am able to walk because of my positive mindset and determination. My latest venture is serving as a Vistage Chair. In this role, I facilitate a group of high-performing CEOs, business owners, and key executives who want to develop their leadership skills and grow their companies. In addition, I offer individual coaching where I focus on each member’s specific situation. There are openings in my Vistage peer advisory group in San Antonio.
