About Dougie Brimson

I have been working in film and television since 2005, initially as a screenwriter and most recently as a producer. I've even done a little directing!Credits to date include the multi-award winning feature, Green Street, the award winning feature, Top Dog (which I adapted from my own novel) and the award winning feature, We Still Kill The Old Way.In 2021 I formed Red Bus Movies, primarily to develop my own projects, and are currently heading for production on projects in both the UK and Australia.One of my ongoing ambitions is to provide opportunities for service leavers looking to transition from military service into the film and television industry. To that end, I completed the first BFBS Academy Production Managers course to develop both my own production management skills and gain hands on experience of other production roles. This excellent course fulfilled both those needs and equipped me with a far greater understanding of the nuts and bolts of production. Something which has served me well as I move some of Red Bus Movies own projects into production.
