With our practical experience allied to a proven, systems based approach, we know we can teach anyone how to innovate!Key Achievements that I am particularly proud of: -* Becoming an Innovation Engineering Black Belt under the mentorship of my wife Helen.* Introducing global initiatives across a £400 million turnover multi national organisation to enable Asset and Business Performance Improvement through consistent measurement & sharing of Best Practices.* Leading the revival and growth of 2 large Packaging Plants by introducing unique manufacturing technology, a global supply chain, innovative working practices and up-skilling everyone. Lead times were reduced from 13 weeks to under 1 day & the long term future of over 500 jobs was safeguarded.* Team Member in starting up Caledonian Paper Mill, the largest single inward investment into Scotland. My role in Production Management involved the recruitment and training of 180 operatives, writing Operating Manuals for the new processes, starting up and then leading the Production of 200,000 tonnes of paper per annum.* Representing Scotland & GB on 122 occasions in an International Hockey career spanning 12 years, then Chairing the inaugural High Performance Group for Hockey. * Team Member of the Government appointed Steering Group for a new National Sports Centre in Scotland. Using my business experience of developing and starting up £multi million capital investments to facilitate a successful recommendation and implementation for Oriam National Performance Centre.
