About Douglas Katz

I own and operate a small restaurant company that evolved over many years. I opened my first restaurant fire food and drink in 2001 and led my company with a team of committed professionals that have enabled us to grow several different concepts over the years. Our success comes from providing the best guest experience and our business model is based on our relationship with and the support of those in our community. We buy from local farmers, artisans and businesses and enjoy the personal connections we have built. My current businesses include Zhug, and Amba. I am also the Chef Partner of Provenance at The Cleveland Museum of Art, Chef Partner with Morrison at The Cleveland Clinic. I enjoy public speaking, business consulting, entrepreneurship topics and teaching culinary technique.I am an advisory board member of Smart Soda and Chef/Consultant for Soco Tahini. I am a a current board member of The Shaker Nature Center in Shaker Heights, Ohio, a mentor with Global Cleveland (Global Rising) and College Now. I am a past board member of Countryside, a partner organization in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
