Site Reliability Engineering: Managed the SRE Enablement team using a Python-based, serverless AWS stack, including Lambda, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, Step Functions, Fargate, CloudFormation, and Terraform, to build platform-level observability and reliability features for applications running in AWS.Cloud Infrastructure Management: Responsible for production cloud infrastructure for AWS, Azure, and GCP across all business units, managing the centralized Cloud Operations team to ensure production reliability, effective change management, timely incident response, and secure privileged access.Platform Engineering: Led platform engineering initiatives, integrating auditable access systems, standard app operation roles, and patterns for configuration, secrets, and API integration, empowering developers with secure, self-service paths to production.Observability and Monitoring: Led development of observability features in all AWS accounts, including self-configuring CloudWatch alarms integrated with ServiceNow for incident creation, and automatic application log forwarding to Splunk, to ensure all teams benefit from a baseline level of monitoring and incident management.Cloud Security Strategy: Implemented a cloud security strategy with SCPs, permission boundaries, and role-based access controls as preventative guardrails, leveraging the Wiz Platform for detection and remediation of non-compliances, reinforced by network safeguards and stringent IAM and encryption practices.Generative AI Solutions: Led the development of a generative AI-driven response system for our team’s inbox, leveraging AWS Bedrock Knowledge Base for vectorization and Azure OpenAI GPT-4 to automate replies to company-wide cloud, change, and deployment inquiries based on knowledge in our Confluence, ServiceNow, and CMDB data stores.
