As a senior leader at Deloitte, I lead client engagements focused on Data Analytics, Cloud, and AI. As a Deloitte Certified Chief Architect, I also provide thought leadership in technology architecture across a wide variety of domains and offerings.

As VP of Systems and Digital for LuftCar - an exciting Air Mobility startup looking to revolutionize regional air transportation - I established the systems engineering and digital strategy around all flight and road operations and documented the detailed functional requirements and concept of operations. I also worked with vendors to down-select key partners and participated in fundraising activities.

As VP of Solution Architecture - the first technology team hire for a new startup venture launched by Site Impact - I am led the architecture and development of "centrifi" - a groundbreaking digital marketing platform. In this role I analyzed the structure and capabilities of "Databyrd" - a digital marketing reporting product purchased by Site Impact - and developed the technical strategy to reach launch readiness. Working directly with the CEO, CTO, CFO, CMO, and CPO, I collaborated with the primary technical vendor in ongoing planning and delivery of greenfield features for the centrifi platform. I onboarded both on-shore development and off-shore QA resources and collaborated with leadership to hire a product manager for the new product. I collaborated with Site Impact product and technology leadership to establish a convergence strategy to integrate centrifi with existing Site Impact technology infrastructure and assets.

After 20+ years of building software and leading engineering teams, I was extremely fortunate to lead technology for Foxbox Digital. With over 45 software and quality engineers across LATAM, we delivered unique user experiences ranging from Healthcare to Crypto for clients ranging from startups to the Fortune 500.As CTO, I was responsible for setting the technology strategy to drive successful delivery for our clients.Being part of a growing company, I also “leaned in” as Chief Architect on key strategic projects to leverage my experience in cloud and application architecture.

I ended my time at Deloitte leading the OpenCloud platform supporting over 150 clients for Deloitte Cloud Engineering and Cloud Managed Services (CMS) as well as multiple internal use cases. Deloitte CMS was recognized by Gartner as the worldwide leader in the 2020 Magic Quadrant for Public Cloud Infrastructure Professional and Managed Services. In addition, I maintained the relationship with Deloitte Advisory’s FinTech team and lead the iDeal platform team supporting M&A engagements across multiple global Deloitte member firms. I continued to contribute to product framework development, supported proposals, lead asset reuse efforts, guided the USDC's application architecture practice and lead the Cloud Managed Services Innovation Hub. I also had functional responsibilities for 80+ members of our Cloud Engineering practice and managed the bench for the several hundred Orlando-based practitioners supporting Deloitte's Core Business Operations portfolio.

Shortly after joining Deloitte, I connected with some great people from our Advisory practice who were building software for the Finance industry. I was fortunate to build and lead a team of outstanding Deloitte Consulting software engineers and QA professionals at the US Delivery Center (USDC) in Lake Mary, FL supporting Deloitte Financial Technology. We partnered with Deloitte Advisory to build products for the Financial industry primarily in the securitization area. I also contributed directly to the architecture design and development of the microservices platform which is being leveraged for the Solvas|Digitize platform and additional FinTech products. I have since consulted with multiple project teams and contributed to multiple proposals in the area of microservices and cloud-native applications. My team also contributed to the Beachcomber platform which is used to develop multiple client-facing and internal applications.Through this relationship with our Advisory practice, I also established a relationship first with the Deloitte US Mergers & Acquisitions practice and then with the global M&A practice to lead the development of the iDeal platform used in support of hundreds of world-wide M&A engagements. This platform built on Microsoft .Net integrates Microsoft SQL server (DB Engine, SSIS, SSAS) with Tableau, Power BI and leverages custom python code leveraging TensorFlow and Gensim for ML and NLP.At the same time, I led recruiting multiple recruiting initiatives during the rapid growth of our USDC practice which has grown from 400 to over 2,300 practitioners.

The penultimate experience of my Lockheed career involved trying to organize multiple IT teams supporting multiple organizations under the "Operations" umbrella. This culminated with co-facilitating some events to plan a major SAP implementation. Finally, before leaving Lockheed Martin for Deloitte, I led the data analytics strategy for the Missiles and Fire Control business area. If you are reading this in reverse chronological order, then it is kind of like the Twelve Days of Christmas song starting at day twelve. At this point in my career, I was developing the "analytics strategy" for the business area, facilitating a cross functional IT team supporting all "Operations" functions, leading the IT team supporting the Quality organization, facilitating analysis for a major SAP implementation, helping .Net teams collaborate, supporting almost every application I ever touched in my career, and a partridge in a pear tree.

My first official management job was managing the team where I had my first official IT job. The culmination of this role was Lockheed Martin receiving the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award - the first DoD contractor to receive this honor. This job meant being the boss of people who used to be my peers (and who are still my friends), which wasn't always fun but it often was. I led a team of great engineers who did some great stuff in .Net, SharePoint, SAP, Cold Fusion, and everyone's favorite - Sybase PowerBuilder. I had some fantastic bosses and mentors and this job continued for the rest of my LM career while I was able to take on some new and exciting challenges.
