Returning to the Golf & Hospitality Industry at the beautiful Point Walter Golf Course and Goanna Mini Golf.As Venue Manager I am back managing not only the gorgeous Point Walter Golf Course but also the new $1.3M Goanna Mini Golf - Perth’s best mini golf course!!With new CAPEX projects on the horizon for Point Walter, in addition to Perth’s newest live music venue, it’s never been busier!!I have now enjoyed both sides of the golf contractor relationship having recent added considerable experience within Local Government procurement - after having for many years tendered for and assisted, under consultancy, for many Local Government contracts.Prior to this role i moved to the Shire of Ashburton to manage their infrastructure projects and asset management projects. A excellent experience of not only LG but everything wonderful and challenging the PIlbara had to offer.I have been involved in the hospitality, sport & recreation industry for many years. Previous to starting Prime Golf in 2007 I was the General Manager of The Links Kennedy Bay.My knowledge of the Australian golf industry began when I started my own inbound golf tour business in 1999 which I later sold in 2004. After nearly 2 years with IMG at Kennedy Bay I moved to Victoria and project managed the opening of The Golf Club St Andrews Beach and continued to oversee The Golf Club Kennedy Bay in Perth. In 2008 Prime Golf successfully tendered and was appointment by the City of Kalgoorlie Boulder to open the new Kalgoorlie Golf Course and project manage all operations and maintenance.Kalgoorlie Golf Course has been an outstanding success in the Australian golf industry. In 2016 Prime Golf were engaged to assist in the project management of the Hotel Refurbishment & Golf Operations at Ocean Dunes, King Island, Tasmania. Recently voted as one of Australia’s top 10 golf courses.Prime Golf enjoyed a reputation of developing golf operations start ups for 4 of Australia’s top 30 Public Access Golf Courses (Golf Course Guide).I am always on the lookout for new challenges in the project management arena both in or out of the infrastructure or sport and recreation industries.I enjoy family life, sports and travel and the challenge of balancing these with my career.

Responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of Infrastructure Projects and Asset Management for the Shire of Ashburton. In this position, I am responsible for the management of all Projects and Asset Management staff, consultants and contractors. It is my responsibility to manage all the Shires Asset Management contracts and the Shire Asset Register, including all data for Infrastructure and Community assets. I have the responsibility to oversee and advise on the development and review of the Shire’s Asset Management Policy, Strategy and Procedures, thereby developing a sustainable organisation and environment for all of the Shire’s asset classes. It is my responsibility to ensure that all the Shire’s assets valuations are conducted in line with fair value and integrated planning, as set out via the regulated reporting guidelines. I manage the development of detailed project plans, monitor changes to scope, deliverables and track progress, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within the budget for the Shire. Within this role it is my responsibility to oversee the development of Capital Expenditure requests to Council for all asset classes including the renewals, upgrades and additions of assets in the Infrastructure department. In this position, I provide detailed and high level reporting on projects to Executive Management and, as required, to Council. In addition, I represent the Shire in government, business and community forums and meetings. This position requires from me a multitude of skills including, but not limited to: Project Management Asset Management Organisational Skills Strong Leadership Capabilities Interpersonal Skills Communication Skills (Written, Verbal and Numeracy) Employee Management Various IT software expertise
