I currently have more than 30 years of experience in the retail grain cooperative system, and 25 years of experience as the General Manager for a large cooperative involved in retail grain, agronomy, fuel, and feed. I enjoy working in an environment that allows me to be a part of an overall team platform that utilizes my skill set while providing support for the other team members so that as a group we achieve the desired budgetary and capital plans as established by the management/and or Board of Directors. I see myself as either the leader of this team as a General Manager/CEO or in a larger organization as a VP/Department Manager. I enjoy being part of an organization that recognizes and appreciates management level employees and challenges them to achieve goals and then properly rewards them for their achievements. I especially enjoy providing direction and motivation for those employees who are direct reports so that they feel empowered and part of the overall success of the team. I believe in managing from the bottom up rather than from the top down until the situation demands different.
