Active in the Santa Clarita Valley School Trustees Association. Completed the California School Boards Association Masters in Governance Program that equips board members and superintendents with the knowledge and skills to build and support an effective governance structure. Has been involved in the hiring of 3 Superintendents. This has helped the SUSD maintain one of the highest levels of education in the State of California, while funding from the State is one of the lowest in LA County. Co-chairs the District Communications Committee. The committee has determined the current state of District communications, developed a vision of where the District needs to be and developed an action plan on how to reach our goals.
