Overseeing the replacement of two folding machine complete lines, including developing and performing factory acceptance testing in USA, relocation of a tissue winder line and integration of these and other new equipment into the existing converting factory, while maintaining day to day operation. Sole charge for managing the mechanical and electrical maintenance team in the Tork tissue converting factory, consisting of 7 tissue converting machine lines and 5 robot palletisers. Responsible for setting and achieving annual maintenance budgets and machine efficiencies. Overseeing the day to day maintenance activities, daily plans and shut planning and execution through SAP (CMMS) including at least one conversion line shut per week (8 weekly cycle). Administration and upkeep of this CMMS system including functional location layout and bills of materials. Implementation of advanced maintenance practices of preventative and predictive maintenance and development of the planned maintenance tasks and schedules. Supervision and development of 5 fitters, 3 electricians, maintenance planner and a control systems engineer, and contractors when necessary. Analysis of downtime, work order backlog and type, and root cause analysis of major breakdowns, including solution development and implementation. Involvement in Plant TPM and 5S activities and new equipment projects and Health and Safety team.

Involved in introducing a planned maintenance system to the Remanufacturing Plant. Looking for continuous improvement opportunities in both the maintenance areas and process control and automation. Introduction and monitoring of downtime leading to Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) figures for different machine centres by using the SCADA and PLC information systems. Overseeing the introduction of SAP maintenance to supersede our Maincam PM system, and the TPM (Total Production Management) philosophy.
