I have practiced intellectual property and technology law in Mainland China and Hong Kong for over 30 years. In my career I have handled over 3,000 IP and technology cases including cases in the Court of Final Appeal in Hong Kong and Supreme People's Court in China and patent and high tech arbitrations. More recently I have been handling a number of cryptocurrency disputes. I have handled numerous patent infringement cases relating to pharmaceutical and telecommunications patents, particularly FRAND issues involving SEPs. I have also co-ordinated numerous cross border litigation cases. I have sat as an arbitrator and acted as counsel in numerous patent and high technology cases covering patent infringement in Europe, Asia and the USA as well as the alleged theft of trade secrets. My non-contentious experience includes advising on technology transfer and conducting patent and other intellectual property audits as well as freedom to operate analyses. I am a member of the HKIAC appointments committee. I am panelist of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), Shanghai International Arbitration Centre and Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration. I am a domain name panelist for WIPO, the HKIAC and the Asia Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre. I have rendered over 400 domain decisions in English, Chinese and Japanese.
