In my current role as Safety & Risk Services Operations Manager for Missouri Employers Mutual, I focus primarily on strategic direction, enhancements to operations and mentoring of consultants.In my 30+ years of Safety Consulting I have served as an Operations Manager, Loss Control Manager, IT Coordinator, Operations Review Team Leader, Director - Loss Control National Accounts and Loss Control Account Manager. Each position has expanded my technical knowledge and skills in strategic planning, leadership, service coordination, project management and effective relationships.In March 2013, I was recognized with The Hartford's 2012 Inventor's Award for the development of an Excel Workbook Template which evaluates loss trends across 50+ data fields while generating additional data fields, pivot tables, graphs and an executive summary. I was honored for challenging the status quo, discovering new solutions to challenges and uncovering new ways of doing business. In late 2012, The Hartford filed a patent application, docket H00317(H03.100.) My formal training and work experience has allowed me to expand my effectiveness as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Industrial Engineering and as a Certified Safety Professional working with industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, retail, food service, distribution and warehousing to name a few. The achievement of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation rounded out my safety and health knowledge with insurance and risk management knowledge. The combined education and experience has positioned me to assist my clients and other professionals with operational enhancements producing positive impact on profitability while reducing insurance claim frequency and severity.
