Senior Systems Engineer (Retired)
2009-2016 - Engility & TASC: Doug served in Engility's and TASC's Federal Civilian sector until his retirement in June 2016. During 2013-2015 he was a senior systems engineer responsible for strategic cross-program integration for Engility’s Systems Engineering Support Program (SESP) Program that supported DHS’s Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO), Product Acquisition and Deployment Directorate (PADD). Doug effectively applied his systems engineering, strategic management and acquisition management experience to help DNDO achieve more integrated radiological / nuclear program/acquisition management, systems engineering, technology development/deployment, and more cost-effective, transformational products/services--within /across other DNDO directorates and other DHS Components. During 2011-2012, Doug served as as a Senior Defense / National Intelligence Community ISR SME / Senior Advisor to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA)'s Director, CWMD Technologies (J-9) where he provided effective systems engineering/technical support to DTRA Counterforce Systems Division, Battlespace Awareness Branch, and contributed to the multi-million dollar Global Counter WMD Awareness System (GCAS) Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDTE) in terms of requirements development and acquisition planning focused on advanced CWMD IT / NSS situation awareness / decision support technologies.
