Managing new project in a new country of operations for United Safety on two onshore Wild Cat Wells in the jungle, thankfully I have a great support team.Additionally I am working a 12 hour shift as a Senior H2S Supervisor with personnel with very little H2S experience, a challenging time for sure and a great learning curve for myself.

New project in Mozambique on Wildcat well, helping with some H2S training, H2S supervision and some HSE as needed. Very professional, good bunch of oilfield people here.

Responsible for starting up and managing new HSE project for United Safety in the Congo for Oil Company that has operations onshore, offshore and production/construction.Sadly it is time to move to the next project and lend a hand.

Halliburton/Boots and Coots International, Houston, TexasI worked in a remote desert field base in Libya on a rotation bases. I was responsible for HSE implementation and compliance with the Oil Operating Companies HSE requirements. I worked with Drilling Rigs, Hydraulic Workover Units and Workover rigs assisting with them sometimes 3 or 4 at a time. Most of the rigs came into the field with inadequate or no HSE policies and procedures in place. I worked with them in developing appropriate policies and procedures. All the rigs were of multinational and multiethnic environment, which I have found to be very appealing. Currently I am learning Arabic through the Rosetta Stone® program.

I worked with on a part time base as an HSE Specialist on drilling, workover rigs and process operation in Alberta, BC and the Northwest/Yukon Territories. I provided training and guides on HSE issues for field personnel.

I instructed a wide variety of oilfield safety courses, see courses I can teach under special training at end of resume. I have taught in very remote isolated locations to students that have had English as their second language, which made it challenging but always interesting. In addition, I worked on course research and development. I was asked to judge the Confined Space Rescue and Man Down competitions for the Oil Olympics, which I happily accepted. I have also written several published papers on Thiols (mercaptans), help the Provincial Government of Alberta prepare a bulletin on Thiols and gave safety briefing on the subject. I have also given several T.V. interviews on Confined Space Rescue, Man down Rescue and ATV Safety.

Provided safety training (H2S Safety and BOP) and back up for personnel working on land based drilling rigs and workover rigs. I also assist National Drilling Company (NDC) and Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO) with rigs safety audits, which would included BOP’s to slings inspection and also worked on procedure development with NDC.

Provided safety training (H2S Safety) and back up for personnel for the first year and half in Canada, after that I worked in the United Arab Emirates. Worked on land based drilling, workover rigs and process plants.
