Information Services Officer - Examinations
Current• Management of exams at one of the largest colleges in Wales. The college provides courses for both academic and vocational qualifications.• Responsibility for the administrative tasks pertaining to the exams process together with the organisation and running of the exams.• Daily use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to use in house systems and explore other technologies to enhance working practices.• Strict guidelines and deadlines are followed showing my ability to work under pressure.• Deal with confidential and sensitive issues and enquiries with integrity, discretion and impartiality.• Provide professional, knowledgeable and accurate responses to queries. • Disseminate information received from external bodies to staff of all levels and students, ensuring GDPR is followed at all times.• Maintain effective and efficient information storage and retrieval systems by recording entries and results on the Management Information System and use it for electronic interchange of data.• Analyse, interpret, check and validate data to prepare reports using the MIS system.• Liaise with the Examinations Co-ordinator to prepare statistical returns for DFES and Welsh Government.• Contribute to meetings and represent the Examinations Co-ordinator when necessary.• Maintain accurate audit trails, electronic and paper based for all work completed regarding entries, registrations and claims.• In depth working knowledge of all administrative procedures relating to the different exam boards e.g. WJEC, AQA, OCR, Edexcel and City & Guilds.• Responsible for the training and management of invigilators.• Provide information to the finance office for the invoicing of examination fees and authorise invoices received from awarding bodies.• Support and supervise students, ensuring exam regulations are followed and behaviour is appropriate.• Train junior members of staff on all policies and procedures.
