    Cognitive Network for Atmospheric Sensing ProjectManaged eleven-person research team, with contracted software support, to research, develop and test weather sensor network. Integrated DARPA developed computer and in-house research, interfaced with USAF Weather Agency, wrote proposals to obtain external funding. Supervised field demonstrations of network during several National Guard Joint Patriot exercises resulting in multiple journal articles and conference papers. This research spanned an eight-year period. Project was selected and funded by AFRL Headquarters (Wright Patterson AFB, OH) for participation in international military exercise in Australia in 2007.

    Intelligent Multi Chip Module AnalyzerDirected eight-person multidiscipline research team, which developed software that imbedded designer expertise and modeling heuristics with Finite Element Analysis for thermal assessment of multichip modules. This five-year project developed finite element software and blackboard based modeling system. In addition to project management, provided thermal modeling expertise, used in the code, based on personal experience in using FEA for thermal analysis of prototype packaging systems. Team participated in electronics industry trade shows and wrote six technical papers, journal articles and reports. Project resulted in patent (Multichip Module Thermal Analyzer, Patent Number 5,675,521, Oct. 7, 1997) for unique code structure. Honeywell Corporation used software for thermal characterization of multichip modules
