I am a mining safety expert. I have previously worked for large mining companies where I was responsible for leading their safety efforts. My job was to simply show our employees and management how to use the tools they already had to set both company safety records, and to garner national recognition for safety excellence. I recognize that as the person responsible for the safety program that it's really about teaching people to want to work safely. in essence creating a self perpetuating cycle. In my role I recognize I am a coach and a mentor, my job is to figure out how to get the most out of my team. Alll the credit however goes to the players, in this case the men and women who work so hard every day to go home to their families.
