I was born and raised on my family's 563 acre farm where I did everything on the farm from handling chemicals to running heavy equipment, like backhoes and tractors. I attended college for 7 years as I switched my degree from Agri-Business to Geology in my 3rd year of schooling. I attended the College of Southern Idaho, University of Idaho, and lastly Idaho State University. While attending Idaho State University I was a research assistant to 2 graduate student's projects. The first was working on Avian eggshell material from the Bridger Formation in Wyoming. I presented this research at the Vertebrate Paleontologists Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada and in Bismarck, North Dakota at the Cretaceous and Beyond Conference. The second project was assisting in installing a tool called a Pizo to monitor how fast water could flow through the soil subsurface. While finishing my education I got a job running Heavy Equipment for Summit Excavation where I ran a roller and rock truck. I then worked for ALS Minerals where I processed mine samples until I was offered a position at Olympus Technical Services. I have been with Olympus since June of 2021.
