Working to bring DevOps and DevSecOps to CenturyLink. In collaboration with other developers and infrastructure engineers, we are defining the software processes and tools that will eventually be used throughout CenturyLink to implement the final goal of DevSecOps. Currently we are working with GitHub, Jenkins, Jenkins Groovy Script, SonarQube, Parasoft, Helm, Docker, Kubernetes, AppDynamics, Splunk, and Grafana. There are other in-house developed tools in use as well.Additionally, I am leading a team of developers to break down a monolithic application into Microservices and Microapps. We are using .Net Core 3.1 and Angular 8 running inside Kubernetes pods. As part of this transformation, I am providing the solution and code architecture following the principles of Domain Driven Design. These Microservices and Microapps are then tested and deployed using the above tools as they progress through the DevSecOps pipeline to eventual deployment to Dev, QA, Stage, and Production environments.Finally, I am leading the development team that is still working on the monolithic application as it heads towards sunset. Duties in this area include defect fix architecture and guiding the team of developers with implementation of targeted defect code changes. This also includes determining whether incoming feature requests will be routed towards the new architecture or if the importance of the request means that it must be implemented in the older code base.
