This role includes ensuring quality and alignment to industry best practice within the engineering team. This is balanced against ensuring frameworks are flexible enough to support the exceptional levels of innovation at the company. The technical remit is wide, covering space mission architecture, AI and onboard machine learning, and quantum technologies.

This role includes managing the systems activity at Craft Prospect. As a young company this can be exceptionally diverse, from rolling out new quality processes, through project management to undertaking systems work packages for space based quantum cryptography.

Craft Prospect Ltd are a Space Systems company aimed at developing critical technologies and processes to support mission providers achieve their goals.My specific interest is in the field of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) where I am undertaking enterprise level architecture design for a future mission, and investigating the potential for utilising CubeSats to augment future constellations.

At SG I am assisting with setting up a UAV Operations arm to an already highly successful rope access firm. This includes obtaining Permission for Commercial Operations, while also defining workflows and undertaking pilot duties. Additionally I am assisting with the roll out of updated company processing including a transition to a comprhensive workforce management system.

Thea Geospace Ltd aims at providing satellite communications systems for commercial UAVs operating within the survey and inspection domains. The main company product is a low cost lightweight satellite terminals to exploit market shift towards low cost option in the space based M2M and IOT.

Clyde Space Ltd is a medium sized enterprise focused on the provision of low cost satellite technology into the ‘new space’ sector. The company specialises in the design and manufacture of CubeSats and the associated ground support equipment.During my time at the company I was responsible for progressing the companies Ground Station product from funding application to TRL9; leading into the roll out of their operations capability to support in orbit platforms. I also worked as the lead engineer on a CubeSat project which looks to define the companies standard platform product.

Leonardo (then Selex ES Ltd) is an international supplier of systems for defence and civil applications. My time with the company focused on the aerospace domain at their Electronic Warfare centre of excellence based in Luton, Bedfordshire. During my time with Selex ES Ltd I worked on a variety of multifaceted programmes; covering the engineering lifecycle from front end systems thinking activities for product development through to V&V and production based tasks.
