I serve as the Managing Partner for the Austin office of Steinberg Hart. My experience ranges from mixed-use residential development; higher education; and civic community buildings. My projects have included performing arts centers, libraries, student centers, city halls, and multi-use residential projects. I have a true passion for architecture! My projects take inspiration from the culture and context of their communities and users. I also serve as a firm-wide resource for a variety of planning, programming, and design issues. I enjoy lending strategy and foresight to our projects for achieving a great balance of planning, design, operational issues and assuring that our projects support the mission, vision, and value of each client. In addition to my professional life, I serve on the Board of Directors of Bogardus Plaza in Tribeca; Co-President of the Westside Center for Community Life; and former President of the Emerging Artists Theatre. I also serve as a member of the Taylor, Texas Comprehensive Plan Advisory Board; and the Chair of the Taylor, Texas Main Street Advisory Board. I’ve served on numerous AIA Design Award Juries and was a guest speaker at multiple schools of architecture. In 2018, I was recognized as the Texas Tech College of Architecture Distinguished Alumnus. I also have a great interest in improving and making stronger urban communities into amazing places. I’ve purchased multiple historic buildings and in-fill lots in my hometown of Taylor, Texas and have completed and working on multiple developments (some using Federal and State Historic Tax Credits) to create enriching, inviting buildings and spaces in the historic downtown core. Specialties: Higher Education and Communities. I have the good fortune to focus my design efforts at Steinberg Hart in these two areas. I have a particular interest in Municipal Buildings, Libraries and Learning Centers; Performing Arts; and Student Life projects. They are my passion.
