  • Provide HSE leadership and direction to the Fort McMurray HSE team and leadership group• Collaborating with management on all Health, Safety and Environment issues• Providing leadership, strategic direction and vision for future growth and development by ensuring employees are informed, aligned and accountable• Coordinating manpower for projects• Ensuring adherence to all company health, safety and environmental standards, policies and procedures while maintaining on-going knowledge of local, provincial, state and federal guidelines• Communicating legislative changes to Health & Safety Advisors, Managers and employees, ensuring full compliance within your scope• Presenting at toolbox talks, manager’s meetings, and safety meetings• Review all incident investigations, for those of a more serious nature may be responsible for conducting the investigation. Implement corrective action, preventative measures and share findings with all levels of management. • Ensures that all worker claims and workers’ compensation matters are managed according to applicable regulations, as well as corporate standards and policies. • Perform annual personnel reviews.• Participating in key industry stake holder group meetings• Participate in Corporate Strategy and planning initiatives• Other duties and responsibilities as required
