Currently I am a fourth year materials engineering undergraduate at Cal Poly. During my time here I am developing leadership skills outside of the classroom being the president of Cal Poly's nationally ranked Spikeball/roundnet club as well as a captain on the men's indoor volleyball team! I am also furthering my love for materials and automotive engineering by helping the Cal Poly Racing team as a part of the chassis development team. Being the president of the spikeball club means I am in charge of advertising, fundraising as well as ensuring payments and field reservations are made promptly. This experience is helping me develop communication skills as I run ideas by the club's board to help determine factors such as where our funds should be put towards. On the Cal Poly Racing team I am a member of the chassis team where we mainly work with composite materials to design, manufacture and assemble components of the car to compete against other schools. This hands-on experience allows me to apply theoretical knowledge from the classroom to real-world scenarios, aligning with my passion for racing and engineering.
