In that process I was always assessing parts with on site engineers and quality assurance technicians to achieve high quality tolerance of parts.

My responsibilities cover the full range of producing custom orthotics based on Pediatrists prescriptions. Jobs that I am responsible for: Plaster pouring of patients' positive plaster casts. Platforming and balancing of the plaster positive. Pressing of thermoplastic materials over positive plaster cast. Rough grinding of thermoplastic orthotic with open face cylinder grinders. Application of a variety of posts to thermoplastic orthotic. Finishing orthotic with a variety of open face cylinder grinders, flap wheel grinders, and cloth buffing wheels.
Foundry Worker / Production Sculptor
I was involved in every aspect of the bronze casting process. From enlarging maquettes to life size or greater, making silicone and urethane molds, pouring wax positives, chasing and spruing waxes, dipping shells for the lost wax process, pouring the bronze in a foundry I helped build, to chasing the final bronze work. I worked on many different projects ranging in scale and scope.
Production Sculptor
My duties as a production sculptor at Gladding Mcbean included: Measuring the original fragment from the architectural site, scaling the measured data to create an enlarged clay sculpture ready for plaster casting. Creating plaster profiles for sculpture foundation.
