MapUganda (OpenStreetMap Uganda) is an indigenous non-governmental Organisation, operating countrywide in Uganda. The organisation is mandated to carryout capacity building activities to manage community challenges, engage in national and global sustainable development initiatives through innovation, training and building a network of mappers throughout Uganda.

Mapping Sports and education training (MapSet) is aimed at solving challenges facing our country, their impact on the economic, social and talent development in sports, and education of individuals in Uganda. Mindful of the fact that Ugandans need to increase their support, participation, innovation, collaboration, and openness towards the sustainability of their National development.The responsibility for overall development in Africa rests with Africans, especially starting with young people, and the role played by their talents, including passion in sports. Emphasizing that the availability of Open Source freely licensed programs can spur innovation and problem solving. It is timely and imperative to launch an, open, non-profit, autonomous, transparent initiative the process of promoting these values in our country, and the whole world.The above principles and future activities will cut across the sustainable development Goals and aim to integrate in long term National development plans that are geared towards the eradication of poverty, well-being, expertise, and capacity building of people involved in this initiative.

The Wiki Loves Women project seeks to fill two major subject gaps – women and Africa – on the free encyclopedia: Wikipedia. These gaps exist both in content on these two themes, but also in terms of participation in the editorial level.Wiki In Africa, a non-profit organisation that is based in South Africa, was founded in November 2016 as a financial and legal structure that operates global initiatives in support of the WikiAfrica movement.

Carrying out occasional volunteer activities with the Kumusha takes wiki project in Uganda (Making linkages between OpenStreetMap and Wikipedia activities) with the Wikipedian in Residence. Currently planning to formalise a Wikimedia user group status in Uganda, among other activities like, project Manager for annual short term competitions (Wiki Loves Africa in 2015 and 2016, supporting the Wiki Loves Monuments competition in Uganda 2017, WikiGap event in March 2018, Art + Feminism, and co-creating a Wikipedia Community User Group in Uganda.
