Senior Advisor to ARCENT Commanding General; led an Inspector General office dispersed across two continents. Responsible to evaluate and report on the discipline, efficiency, economy, morale, training and readiness of Army units comprised of over 30,000 soldiers in 21 countries throughout the Middle East and Central Asia.

Deputy Commander of an 1,800 person NATO command with 22 participating countries for security assistance for 25,000 Afghan National Army soldiers and 21,000 Afghan National Police during active combat operations in a complex north Afghanistan operational environment. Supervised the planning, management, and execution of all activities of Fort Jackson, the US Army’s largest Basic Combat Training installation, which trained 40-70,000 personnel annually with an operating budget of $260 million per year• Directed the installation’s public affairs programs, to include routine interaction with local school districts, chambers of commerce, and media outlets, in addition to receiving more than 250,000 installation visitors per year

Responsible for the daily operations of 7,000 military and civilian employees and our mission of training and equipping 70,000 personnel annually. Directly supervises, synchronizes, and prioritizes all operations, training, strategic planning, logistics, safety, financial resource management, human resource management, public relations and communications, IT, protocol operations, legal, and general administrative actions on Ft Jackson. Responsible for the execution of a $32M operations and training budget and the oversight of prioritization and execution of a $260M service and support budget. Responsible for the implementation of the Strategic Plan including the Training, Leader Development, Quality of Life, and Community Outreach major objectives. Ensures a strong and positive relationship with the local, regional and state communities. When required, serve as the Commander.

Served as the Operational Army’s expert on the Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT). Responsible for building and sustaining a collaborative, virtual environment to connect 9 globally dispersed SBCTs creating a cohesive, learning, and adaptive Community of Purpose. Responsible for advising Army headquarters and subordinate commands on all aspects of doctrine, organization, training, leader development, and material associated with an SBCT.

Leads organization consisting of over 800 personnel, equipment and facilities valued in excess of $150 million. Provide purpose, motivation and direction to resolve complex problems in adverse and austere environments. Responsible for the comprehensive fitness, morale, well-being and administrative support for all personnel. Focus on optimizing performance, identifying and developing new competencies, and risk reduction to ensure success during combat operations. Employ effective interpersonal and team collaboration skills to effectively harness cultural, joint, interagency and non-government organization capabilities. Responsible to establish a work environment and control systems that ensure the care, well being, discipline and preparation for deployment of 800 Soldiers and their family members.

Developed strategic messaging and engagement priorities for the I Corps Commander, the leader of the US Army’s designated headquarters for operational implementation for shift in prioritization to the Pacific Theater.

Assembled and led a team of operations, acquisition, industry, and financial experts to rapidly identify, develop, fund, and field critical life-saving equipment to US Forces worldwide; managed over 500 requirements from forward deployed units and optimized Army acquisition processes to rapidly develop solutions and field critical life-saving equipment, and technologies; developed and presented proposals for high-ranking Pentagon officials on new technologies and equipment in order to secure necessary funding and support for rapid fielding initiatives critical to Army forces worldwide.

Performed the duties of the Brigade Chief of Staff overseeing the day-to-day operations of the staff and subordinate battalions. In the absence of the commander, acted as the 2nd in command of the unit. Specific duties include oversight of the unit's budget, oversight of the unit's maintenance and supply programs and execution of the unit's deployment to the National Training Center and Afghanistan.

• Led Infantry units comprised of 36 to 180 soldiers in training, peacekeeping, and combat operations.• Served as an operations officer and expert on operations in the Bosnia and Kosovo on the US Army Europe Current Operations staff. Routinely briefed and advised high ranking US Army Europe and Pentagon leadership on operations in the Balkans • Established rapport and collaborated with United Nations officials, Non-Governmental Organizations, USAID, foreign diplomats, and local government officials and leaders to develop and establish a peace agreement in the most contentious village in southern Kosovo. Based on that agreement, successfully developed and acquired funding for various mutually beneficial community projects to foster peace and stability.
