Senior Technology Strategist
Serves as senior advisor for artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technology to counter foreign state and non-state information manipulation.Focuses on national security issues related to AI-enabled content, synthetic media, information integrity, digital content transparency, and international partner engagement and capacity building, to include research and development.Provides expert advice on the identification, evaluation, transition, and implementation of cutting-edge technology and solutions, to include generative AI technology, through briefings and written products.Oversees implementation of the Department of State-led Interagency Task Force to Advance International Engagement on Content Authentication and guides interagency consensus-building to streamline government programs. https://www.state.gov/the-united-states-interagency-task-force-to-advance-international-engagement-on-content-authentication/ Establishes and leads partnerships with the Executive Office of the President, National Security Council, Members of Congress and staff, the Intelligence Community, other U.S. federal government departments and agencies, international partners, technology companies, and civil society organizations.Communicates the Center’s priorities both orally and in writing to U.S. federal government and Congressional affairs offices and leads efforts to advance its mission abroad.Develops approaches, recommendations, and programs to resolve issues arising from conflicting goals across activities and assigns, reviews, and supervises the work of others to accomplish annual and longer-term strategies.
