• Served as principal liaison between seven field offices in the Pacific islands and headquarters. Coordinated and monitored all system support activities including program development, training, policy implementation, budgeting and reporting.• Conceived and wrote the “Pacific Initiative” concept paper, an analysis of environmental programs in Oceania which framed strategies for greater coordination among field offices and broadened partnerships with regional institutions. It resulted in the first-of-its-kind Pacific-wide environmental conservation project and leveraged more than $500,000 in partner support.• Led semi-annual country program reviews evaluating economic, environmental, and social indicators; project performance; and operational efficiency. • Supervised two staff members.

• Coordinated $5 million fund-raising effort supporting “social entrepreneurs” in 30 developing countries; initiated and maintained foundation, corporate, and individual donor relationships; estimated revenue to manage cash flow and determine program and hiring priorities; managed biannual direct mail campaign.• Developed numerous funding proposals for, and wrote reports on, international Ashoka Fellows working on a wide range of social and environmental problems.• Supervised three staff members.

• Worked with subsistence farmers in biologically diverse wildlife management area on integrated conservation and development project promoting ecologically sound businesses and natural resource management; projects included a handicraft cooperative, fish farming and the conceptual introduction of butterfly ranching.• Designed curriculum and taught sustainable agricultural techniques to 50 community school students.
