Barrow Island

I was employed on the CKJV Gorgon LNG project on Barrow Island. Role was as a QA QC welding inspector. I looked after the traceability and inspection of site installed welded pipework in the Inlet area, upstream and downstream (AS2885, B31.8 and B31.3). Also worked on train 1, 2 and 3. Prior to this I was the Inspector at CKJV fabrication facility at AMC.

Rockingham

I was employed at Hatrick Engineering's piping workshop in East Rockingham. I was responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality in the fabrication, welding and testing of pipe spools for a variety of clients. I was responsible for all tractability and documentation on the projects undertaken and the completion of MDRs.

WA State Wide

I was employed in the Kleenheat Gas LNG construction and maintenance division. The main duties of my job were the construction, installation and maintenance of LNG refuellers across Western Australia. I was also responsible for the QAQC on the systems we constructed. This involved overseeing a team of 8 staff and a variety of contractors and auditing the.

Worsley

I was part of the shift maintenance team in the power station at Worsley Alumina. The main duties of my job were the repair and maintenance of piping systems and fixed plant on site.

Bunbury

The main responsibilities of my job were the fabrication and welding of mild steel pipe from 1 inch up to 20 inch some of which was to B31.3 AS4041 standard and mild steel plate from 3 mm up to 100mm. I was also responsible for the assembly and trial fit up of completed structures and machinery.

I was employed at Dwyers Harvey fab shop. The main function of my job was the fabrication and welding of carbon steel pipe from 2 inch to 24 inch to B31.3/ASME IX standard. Also fabrication of carbon steel plate from 5 to 15 mm thick. In addition I carried out pressure testing of pipework. I also specialised in the operation and maintenance of a FICEP beam.

Carlisle, United Kingdom

I was employed as a pipe fitter welder at their Carlisle fab shop. The main duties of my job were the fabrication and welding of ½ inch to 6 inch pipe work in 304L and 316L stainless steel. All of the welding and pipework was to ASME IX/B31.3 standard of which all butts were 100% NDT. I was also responsible for the skid assembly of the pipe work, coolers.

Kirby Stephen, Cumbria, UK

I was employed at their Kirby Stephen fab shop. The main duties of my job were to fabricate and weld plate and pipe work to B31.3/ASME IX standard. I worked with a variety of materials such as stainless steel, duplex, titanium, zirconium and carbon steel. I was also responsible for assembling and pressure testing pipe work and vessels.

I was employed by Corus on the repair and maintenance of the Shapfell Limestone Plant. The main duties of my job were to make repairs and to maintain all aspects of the mechanical machinery on site. I was responsible for the repair and maintenance of pumps, valves, strainers and tanks. Also the welding and fabrication of heavy plate and pipe work in mild.

I was employed on board Royal Fleet Auxiliary ships throughout the world. The ships I worked on were oil tankers and general cargo vessels. This job was varied and involved repairing and maintaining all mechanical machinery and pipework on board the vessel. This mostly consisted of the repair and maintenance of the main engines, compressors, air.

I was employed at the Ministry of Defence weapons testing facility operated by Qinetic and my main duties were the repair and maintenance of large sea going barges. I was also responsible for fabricating classified structures for military use.

Immingham, Humberside, UK

The contract I was working on for M.B. Services was a major shutdown at Lindsey Oil Refinery in Immingham on Humberside. The job involved pressure testing, installation, fabrication and welding on site of carbon and stainless steel pipe work in various sizes to B31.3/ASME IX standard all of which was subject to NDT.

I completed my apprenticeship with MB Services and was then transferred across as a tradesman. I worked throughout the UK on various sites and installations including chemical plants, power stations, pipelines, oil and gas.

Grangemouth

I was employed at the Grangemouth on the construction of the Sulphur Recovery Unit 5 for BP Oil. I was involved in the fabrication, welding and hydro testing of the pipe spools at the fabrication facility. On the completion of the fabrication I moved to site for the construction, testing and commissioning of the plant.
