Vehicle Test Engineer
System responsibility for electrified powertrain systems. Previously for electrical. electronic systems, chassis systems and engine systems (cooling/fuels/exhaust). Test fleet reporting, test schedule development, vehicle platform development activities, off-road facilities and test development; hybrid, electric and range-extended powertrain development and testingMilestonesDeveloped a Severe Off-Road test used to test differential lockers and disconnecting swaybar systems, as well as winch recovery systems as part of a durability test.Designed and directed construction of multiple off-road events for use in development and durability of Jeep and light truck vehiclesDeveloped a "Small Crossover Vehicle" durability test. Designed for a C-class 4WD SUV, based on intended customer usage. Eventually refined and adapted for general use in all passenger car and minivan body/chassis durability testing.Adapted powertrain durability test to electrified powertrain vehicles with single-speed (direct-drive) transmission. Developed a High Mileage Reliability test for electrified powertrain vehicles. Test designed to replicate real-world inputs, designed for 150K miles test length. Test is wholly within proving grounds on controlled roads, consisting of city traffic, secondary road and freeway driving.
