Douglas Young currently serves as National Sales Director for Healthesystems, a leading Pharmacy Benefit Management Program, expert Clinical Review Service, and a revolutionary Ancillary Benefits Management solution. A knowledgeable industry veteran, Doug has 30+ years experience in the workers’ compensation Third Party Administration, PBM, and managed care industries. He began his career with Gates, McDonald & Company serving in a variety of positions with increasing responsibility, starting as a Claims Adjuster, moving to Account Executive, and then Regional Sales Manager. Doug subsequently held Regional Sales Management positions with both The Frank Gates Companies (now York Risk Services Group) and Acordia Employers Service (now HealthSmart Casualty Claims Solutions). In addition to these roles, Doug spent time at PMSI, Inc. as a National Account Manager and Acquisition Sales Director, and at MedInsights, Inc, now a wholly owned subsidiary of Gallagher Bassett, as Vice President - Sales & Marketing. He then transitioned to Optum Rx/Helios (formerly StoneRiver, Progressive Medical, and PMSI) a specialty services company providing Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), Ancillary Services and Medicare Settlement Solutions. Most recently, he served as Vice President – Sales for HealthSmart Casualty Claims Solutions, a third-party administrator for WC, AL & GL claims. Mr. Young received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University (1992) and his Masters of Business Administration from Northern Kentucky University (1996).
