Manufactured in Australia, our heat exchange panel fits behind a solar panel and harnesses the waste heat that builds up in the module, converting it into usable thermal energy by heating water. Systems can make direct use of warm water (e.g. swimming pools) or, for higher efficiency and commercial & industrial process heat, operate as a heat source for heat pumps. Water-to-water heat pumps coupled to a waste heat source are now the cheapest form of heat generation in the world, more than 60% cheaper than using gas to heat water. Removing this excess heat also cools the solar panel which increases its electrical efficiency by 4% for every 10C drop in surface temperature. Dropping the module temperature by 40C degrees or more in summer lifts electrical generation from your solar system by up to 15-20%, for the life of the system.This additional energy generation can often be greater than the power required to run the water pumps for the Coolsheet system, meaning it has the potential to be a carbon negative solution. -
