Hi! I am Douglas Au Yeung. I am the CEO and Founder of Verdasha and a student-athlete studying BSc Psychology at Loughborough University. My academic interests include a wide array of subjects, such as Psychology, Sociology, International Development, Philosophy and Economics. My greatest strengths lie in my public speaking skills and ability to observe and think critically. My passion lies in cultivating inclusive communities, and I thrive in learning and connecting with people. Beyond academics, I am an athlete and swim coach. Since age 4, I have been swimming competitively, competing in triathlons and Hong Kong swimming leagues, including HKSSF, ISSFHK, and HKGSA divisions. In 2018, I volunteered to take on the leadership role of an assistant swim coach. My responsibilities involve leading warm-ups, crafting morning swim sets, and providing constructive feedback to ensure athletes are prepared for swimming competitions, demonstrating my communication and creative problem-solving skills.In my creative pursuits, I find joy in being a performer and musician. I have experience singing and playing the violin, piano, and guitar. I am classically trained and have worked collaboratively with my band and played in orchestras and the local community centre. Not only is music my medium of expressing myself, but I am a storyteller—we all are. I am always open to connecting with people, so feel free to reach out!
