I led a team that developed strategies, services, and infrastructure providing search, discovery, and preservation platforms for delivery of resources provided by University Libraries.

I'm currently engaged in two major projects:Service Management:Applying ITSM to help Carnegie Mellon's central computing group better meet the institution's needs. Research Data Management:Defining the IT challenges inherent in actively and accurately curating petabytes of research information.

My team is responsible for:• Human Resources IT systems. This includes personnel records, recruiting, and benefits systems.• University Advancement. This organization is responsible for organization and encouraging philanthropic donations to the university, and runs an education-specific CRM system. My team is responsible for resolution of third-level technical problems. • Core web infrastructure. This includes a portal platform, Google Search Appliances, as well as three different CMSes and a supporting consulting effort.I also participate in the development of our service strategies as part of the division's management team. I am also drafted to help other projects/programs as needed.

Gather and analyze requirements, build consensus on specifications, build and manage teams of developers, and promote resulting products and services. Representative work:• Led a joint venture between Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Carnegie Mellon to develop mobile computing clusters, leveraging then-new 802.11 technology and Windows CE-based equipment to provide state-of-the-art infrastructure to area tech startups.• Led selection process for enterprise calendar system.• Provided IT organizational consulting to various academic departments.• Led development of the university's first institution-wide desktop support program.• Led deployment of the university's first single-sign on system.

Assisted large customers in developing and executing technology strategies. Responsible for delivering onsite support for full product line.Troubleshooting, training, marketing responsibilities.

Technology consultant with an emphasis on network design. Participated in three major projects:• Design and deployment of a large (10,000 outlet) structured cable system.• Market analysis for an organization considering entry to the router market• High-capacity document management system selection and deployment.
