Our work is used by policymakers, decisionmakers, and change agents to benchmark performance, examine best practices, and improve the health system. Recent engagements:• The Commonwealth Fund: Led a team that produced case studies describing promising practices and innovations in health care delivery and scorecards assessing health system performance. • Midwest Health Initiative: Created a blueprint for a statewide health information infrastructure to improve health and health care for residents of Missouri.• Lucille Packard Foundation for Children’s Health: Evaluated the impact of the National Standards for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs.• Vesta Healthcare: Developed a data strategy to measure the impact of an integrated home-based care model for dually eligible Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries.• HealthEfficient (a health-center controlled network). Assessed opportunities, challenges, and technical assistance needs for community health centers to adopt value-based payment.

Designed a social network for regional health care improvement. Identified critical success factors for collaborative efforts to improve care transitions and harness community health information exchange.

Created and led a corporate issues management function in collaboration with senior management. Conducted market research for health informatics tools. Managed a $2 million contract to deploy quality reporting in health plans. Directed a program of collaborative research to inform evidence-based policy.
