Exercises full supervisory authority over the Audio-Visual, Photography and Graphics Teams. Makes work assignments and provides guidance and assistance as necessary. Recommends appointments, promotions, reassignments, awards and other personnel management actions. Evaluates performance of subordinate employees and arranges for needed training and development. Resolves complaints and elevates serious problems to higher-level supervisors. Effects minor disciplinary measures and recommends action in more serious cases.Responsible for analyzing, identifying and predicting program needs concerning audio-visual, photography, graphics and multimedia services, and identifying or developing the methods to meet them, including the analysis of relative costs and benefits of various alternatives. Recommends and develops changes and improvements in all areas of audio-visual, video, photography, graphics and multimedia.Performs both long-range and short-term planning for multimedia production functions. Conducts continuous assessment of audio-visual, photography, graphics and multimedia needs, determining, developing and leading the implementation of changes for improved operational effectiveness and efficiency and economy of operations. Provides professional leadership, guidance and technical expertise in extending, improving, and monitoring delivery of existing audio-visual, photography, graphics and multimedia product and services and devising, developing and implementing innovative changes and long-term improvements. Develops objectives, policy, procedures and operating guidelines. Assesses the feasibility of expanding the types of services provided to clients (e.g., consulting services offered to clients).Assures timely accomplishment of assignments by coordinating production and personnel schedules and travel, maintaining the availability of the Audio-Visual, Photography and Graphics Teams to customers, and meeting production deadlines.

Instructs 134 students yearly in the art of Combat Videography/Photography and Broadcasting. Guides and counsels students in their training and development through performance evaluations, analyzing products and testing to established standards. Conducts continuous assessment of student training needs by maintaining academic records, evaluating course material, devising training aides, implementing innovative teaching methods, identifying training requirements, and recommending administrative and or corrective actions.
