I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers. I've worked extensively with children, young people and families in child protection, social work, counselling and mental health roles in government, prominent NGOs and private practice. I work with a range of issues including Autism Spectrum Disorder, disability, trauma, interpersonal violence, sexualised behaviours, sexual assault, coercive control and domestic abuse, and violence in the lives of children, adults and families.I've trained in a range of evidence-based and empirically supported methodologies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, Play Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Strengths Based Approaches.I take a systemic perspective in all my work. I have particular expertise in addressing the impacts of recent and historical impacts of interpersonal violence including sexual assault and domestic violence in adults and children. I also have expertise in addressing Sexual Behaviour Problems in children under 10 years of age.Prior to becoming a Social Worker, I spent a decade working in small and medium sized businesses in Australia, Spain and Norway or myself and for others. As a result, I have a broad and deep knowledge of political and social systems in Australia and overseas.
