I developed and maintained the CAD Alert cloud-based incident management and notification system for fire companies.

The usual: process improvements, automation, tool and toolchain creation, CI/CD pipelines and artifact generation, stood up a Kubernetes cluster, migrated as many services to it as I could, monitored all our equipment through Nagios, Prometheus, and Grafana, some web services, some software glue, all the fun stuff.

My role here continues to evolve (yay small company!), but the main focus is on enabling the company to make the transition from a professional-services company to a product company.* CI pipeline design, deployment, and maintenance* Played the role of architect and developer on our infrastructure-automation platform, Nubrado* Played the role of product manager, architect, and developer on our cost analysis and optimzation platform for public clouds* Deployed production virtual infrastructure in AWS using auto-scaling groups, load balancers, elastic beanstalk, and other technologies* Worked on consulting contracts to enable large enterprises to automate database delivery, deployment, and migration, including translating their existing processes into Ansible

Start up time! In addition to all of the fun and crazy stuff that went on by virtue of having only three people in a garage, these were some of the more visible things that I did.* Updated and simplified original graphing engine.* Decoupled data processing from data visualization.* Created a new user-access system.* Improved HA solution.* Reduced language count by converting magical Perl scripts to PHP.
