I'm a Lead developer working on several large Ruby on Rails projects running the Workarea e-commerce platform. I also work with Shopify Plus clients on things like creating custom theme settings or discount scripts in Ruby. In fact, I generalized my Ruby scripts into a small library that is now used as a starting point for multiple clients.I wear many hats. I specialize in back-end and TDD, but I'm comfortable with front-end tasks involving complex layers of JavaScript or CSS/SCSS. I also use my teaching experience to provide a coherent technical voice in discussions with less technical clients.

I was a Tech Lead for 4 large clients (including Sanrio.com) while contributing to 12+ others completing both back-end and front-end tasks. I was on a large Agile/SCRUM based team with strenuous code reviews and emphasis on both working independently and helping each other whenever needed. Besides coding, my responsibilities included analyzing the scope of new issues with estimates in hours and implementation notes, running production deploys, mentoring new devs, and communication with clients about technical issues.

I taught a web development training course at Epicodus using PHP, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails and Drupal with a focus on object-oriented programming and BDD. I created the PHP and Drupal curriculums, and I expanded the JavaScript curriculum including Gulp, NPM, Bower, Ember and Angular 2 with TypeScript. I also created and hosted the Treehouse Drupal course used in part of the Drupal class. While in school at Epicodus expanding my web development skills in Ruby, Rails, Javascript, JQuery, and CSS I worked in my off hours on freelance projects and my own software.

- Worked together on a music software development project in C, adding features and porting it into Max MSP to create a more user-friendly performance interface. - Exchanged performance and composition ideas on a weekly basis and I would give him lessons in the Max MSP language.

- Gave lessons to both children and adults to make learning about music theory, technology and performance an exciting and fulfilling experience. - Taught private lessons in guitar and recording/sound design software (for example, Ableton Live, Native Instruments Kontakt) to young children and teenagers.- In previous years, worked with college, high school and middle school students on studying mathematics (calculus, algebra, geometry). Also tutored college students helping them study music theory and technology.

-Provided hardware/software technical support for students at Berklee College of Music.-Helped students with issues relating to Native Instruments programs, Pro-Tools, Ableton Live, Audacity, and Logic.

- Assisted chief engineers with setting up/taking down equipment and recording/mixing. Performed session work as needed by artists on vocals, synthesizer, guitar and piano.- Managed calendar, booked clients, organized paperwork, interviewed new interns, performed daily maintenance.

- Worked with Dr. Richard Boulanger on development, organization and selection of content for a project to provide children with low-cost laptops for music education.- Edited large banks of audio samples extreme under time constraints and contributed original content for integration into software.
