Digital Media Producer | Offline Editor
Working in a close-knit creative and technically minded team I released television and film titles on an array of digital media platforms. Editing video and audio, encoding and prepping materials from any number of sources our team released the highest quality of digital video for the Australian digital market. I worked with premiere, photoshop, avisynth, compressor, FCP and numerous encoding softwares on a daily basis to create trailers, repair and restore video frames and audio samples, to name but a few tasks. Working to monthly deadlines, I ensure that titles are prepped, encoded and tested. Metadata for several platforms is also prepared and delivered for numerous platforms including iTunes, X-Box and Fetch, to name a few. On top of your own releases, we recently achieved aggravation status with iTunes and have for 8 months no served as international aggregators for several licensors and productions. I have aided in development of our systems and best practices and been an integral part in Madman's rise to be one of Australia’s leading digital film and television distributors.
Multimedia Content Expert | Offline Editor
My position involved working with encoders, designers, project managers and brand managers to ensure that Madman’s physical media releases are shipped flawlessly. My role here is a hybrid of several roles- aspects of encoding, video and audio editing, menu design and DVD authoring were the main elements of this position. It demanded a high level of organisation and a strong ability to multitask to ensure that release dates are met and our online and DVD releases are shipped ready for the viewer. As our business faced the impending shift from physical media to digital platforms, I was transitioned into our pioneering digital team to develop systems, working towards establishing best practices and streamline our workflow.
Online Edit Assistant
In my time at Clear Cut, I worked closely with every department, gaining a thorough understanding of post production and a valuable insight to the benefits of good planning during the production stages. Initially heading up, organising and managing the running team at west London’s largest post production companies, I was working very closely with Clear Cut’s clients, namely numerous BBC productions. After 9 months in this role I promoted into an Online Edit Assistant role- capturing footage, setting up and playing out Avid, FCP, Grading and Pro-Tools suites and providing technical support to Online Editors and Audio Designers. During this time, I furthered my post production knowledge, especially with the main editing programs (including FCP, Avid, Pro-Tools and Nucoda) and excelled at client facing and liaising with producers, directors, editors and post-producers alike.
Camera Assistant | Camera Operator | Editor | Production Assistant.
Working with Alan Miles (director of “Jail Guitar Doors” and “Who Shot the Sheriff?”) working on Music videos, live gigs and demonstrations around London to raise awareness for the Love Music/Hate Racism cause. My role varied from day to with each coming event- photography, filming, editing and interviewing were the stable diet of my position with this exciting opportunity. I was proud to work alongside some of the best British musicians through this period. The highlight was heading up the filming and editing at the Leftfield stage at Glastonbury- leading a team of 5 through a non-stop weekend of bands, talks and events around the entire festival.
