Through contracts with the Securities and Exchange Commission: Requirements gathering and validation, documentation, enterprise design, development, coding, and testing of web-based intranet and Internet systems using Java, Perl, Ruby on Rails, JBoss, Tomcat, MySQL, and Sybase technologies working with the NT and UNIX operating systems. Providing support to internal and external users for SEC’s Bluesheet, SECTR, Phoenix, and CATS applications and writing internal applications to monitor the transfer of large amounts of data and finding specific errors and information from large server logs.

Part time newspaper carrier while continueing college and caring for foster children

Managed the Support Operations Department which included various employees with various qualifications and responsibilities within the Data Processing Group, Print Shop, Mailroom, Supply Department, and Receptionist’s desk. Produced various written documents: Weekly staff reports, budget reports, logistical requirement reports, production reports, solicitation for bids, personnel reviews, etc. Provided oral presentations: weekly staff reports to Board of Directors, production, budget and logistical reports to International Board of Directors and other departments, upper management and governing committees. Explored, negotiated and managed contracts for shipping, printing, mailing, building and grounds maintenance, building security, equipment rental and repair. Performed as the Logistics Chief for Air Force Sergeants Association in 1997 (Crystal City) and 1998 (Minneapolis) for the Annual International Convention with over 1,500 attendees
