Working with students in a variety of math, science, and standardized testing subjects. Subjects taught include Multivariable Calculus, AP Statistics, SAT/ACT, AP Physics, and AP Environmental Science. Curriculum are created for each individual student's needs and material for homework/tests are also infused within the sessions for each student.I also create challenge questions for students of all skill levels each month in which students then enter into a raffle should they answer at least one of the questions inspired by the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME). I currently encourage students with their college searching as well as develop their foundation while aiding them in handling the current workload they have in school.While at C2, I also help manage the data/file system for easier access for instructors to get material for students. This was especially helpful leading up to the pandemic when everything went virtual for instruction.

Working with leads provided by the Wyzant program, I work with students in the Northern Virginia area in math and science from 5th graders all the way to adult students who aim to improve and hone their skills for the classroom and the workforce. This includes reaching out to prospective customers, creating lesson plans, setting price points, reserving locations for lessons and conducting said lessons. 1250+ hours logged for tutoring to date with an average rating of 5.0 for lessons.Worked as an independent contractor and set my own prices which allowed me to explore what it was like running your own business and the challenges that emerge from customer service.

Independent Consultant with NASA through SSAI - Science Systems and Applications Inc.Participant for the NASA DEVELOP Program working on monitoring mosquito populations in Western Europe. Using remote sensing technology to help combine data from various Western European countries to identify habitat suitability and potential vector-borne disease risks.Combined Citizen Science data with NASA remote sensing data to create a habitat suitability map for monitoring mosquitos to combat vector-borne diseases. Developed model from scratch as no template or protocol was in place previously. Programmed with MaxENT and ArcPy through probability to determine which environmental variables were correlated with Citizen Science occurrence data. Presented project findings to both NASA Goddard and the Wilson Center in Washington DC and answered any questions stakeholders and scientists had about the model.

Independent Consultant with NASA through SSAI - Science Systems and Applications Inc.Participant for the NASA DEVELOP Program working on air and health quality for the Shenandoah National Park. Compiled atmospheric satellite data from 2005 to 2016 to aid Shenandoah National Park in monitoring air quality levels for ozone, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide and aerosols. Programmed ArcGIS with Python code to take hourly atmospheric readings and compile them into manageable products for presentations. Annotated code properly to guide future program participants. Quickly learned Python over the initial project period without prior knowledge. Presented and showcased research findings to both the National Park Service at Shenandoah National Park and NASA Langley and answered questions from these agencies. The findings were then utilized by the National Park Service for outreach and marketing purposes.

This was primarily for fun as my role as a judge was to facilitate events that would be in the hundreds if not at least a thousand participants. This included registration, rule confirmations, and helping to explain rules and scenarios to players. I worked five events in total over the three years.

Boston, Ma

Liaised with local municipalities across Massachusetts regarding placement of electric vehicle charging stations (EVSEs). Developed comprehensive mathematical formula to analyze the “break-even” point of environmental emissions between electric vehicles and their gasoline counterparts. Created a methodology for receiving EVSEs as part of the ChargePoint America project. 105 charging stations were installed across Massachusetts after several rounds of deliberations to optimize use and encourage the utilization of electric vehicles. Internship gave exposure to state and local policies including air quality and environmental regulation. This position was in conjunction with undergraduate thesis proving the viability of electric vehicles.

Turkey Run Park

Conducted user counts along the Mount Vernon Trail near Washington DC as well as troubleshot digital trail counters. Created a database of trail reports and performed statistical analysis of the data. Developed a trail count fact sheet to be used for future projects and instruction manuals when none existed for future data sets, basic analysis, and use of Centurion Parks trail counter software. Improved trail count accuracy from 20-30% to over 80% based on building new counters, streamlining data reports, and remediating constant issues that plagued trail park officials.

Fairfax County (Multiple Locations)

"Recreation for Pretty Awesome Campers". Was a roaming counselor for several different schools to accommodate for the different number of campers. Worked with children ranging from rising 1st-6th graders in groups of ~15-20. Primarily I was the PE instructor but I would help out in other areas where needed. Basic First Aid was needed on several occasions and the use of my Spanish skills was required to a basic degree since there were students who could not speak English very well.
