My name is Douglas Fowler, and I am a recent graduate of Fordham University, studying Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing at the Gabelli School of Business with a minor in Film and Television with a concentration on Screenwriting - specifically comedy. My future is one in the Entertainment Industry. Ever since I was young, I have loved writing, performing, and advertising to as many people as possible. I love making people’s day better through laughter and joy, so much that I have decided to make this task my life.Over the initial Covid lockdown, a time which, for many, was filled with boredom and a taking on of new tasks, I decided that I would put most all of my free time towards writing, directing, and performing, and I fell in love with it.Through the past 3 years, I have consistently written, directed, produced, performed in, edited, and advertised both short-form and long-form content one to three times a week and, in doing so, have amassed an audience of well over 20,000 people across platforms. Though this is the concrete display of my tenacity, creativity, and skill, I have also strengthened a vast array of skills that are sure to help in the business world just as well as they would in the entertainment industry. I’ve learned multiple editing softwares, taught myself JAVA Script and SEO Optimization, studied human psychology and storytelling, and nonverbal communication so as to become a more gregarious and effective communicator while also honing my skills as a leader. I am excited for the future of my career - one which will allow me to help produce content that will brighten people’s lives during times that are too often filled with stress, vexation, sadness.To make people happier is my life calling.
