The primary body in the UK for representing landlords following the merger of Residential Landlords Association and National Landlords Association with over 95,000 members. We provide support, advice and guidance as well as training and commercial services for private landlords. We are the voice of private landlords to local and national government in England and Wales and work closely with the Scottish Association of Landlords to do the same in Scotland.I was a key player in merging the two organisations and overcoming the many obstacles involved prior to the merger. My role as a non-executive director is now to support the Chair and Chief Exec and hold to account what it is doing ensuring it is following the original vision to support landlords and make the private rented sector better for both tenants and landlords.I have a particular interest in the evolving path in Wales that results in it becoming a very different legal environment for landlords. I am actively involved in giving comment to media and stakeholder groups.

Invited to apply for the regional board (Wales) of the Chartered Institute of Housing to represent the interests of the private rented sector. I had noted previously that whilst CIH had been a good representative to social housing it represented poorly, if at all those that provide over 50% of the non-owner occupied housing in the UK. I hope to influence and provide a greater understanding at CIH of the private rented sector within Wales.I have also been contributing around membership benefits and training as a result of my experience with the Residential Landlords Association.
