2015 an ‘All Change Year’ –From Aviation Systems to the Charity and Voluntary Sector:After a long Career spanning 40+ Years in Civil Aviation, mainly Airline and Airport Systems (occasional forays into other areas) this is a complete change of direction.After four Years of trying to be ‘astride’ two very different sectors I have decided to focus entirely on the Charity Sector and on one specific project; starting a new Charity. In the last four years I have climbed a sometimes very steep learning curve and 2016 will be the year that the team and I turn that knowledge into something tangible.Although I can take myself out of Aviation, obviously I will remain interested, but purely from the sidelines. Although I will always be proud of the various projects I led, or was part of; indeed even proud of some of those that remained purely paper plans usually due to lack of budget, but sometimes because the technology was not really ready. Today the Technology is not only available, but affordable and therefore when solutions are rolled out, they provide, wry, if not ironic amusement.As for the Charity Project, well it nearly ‘got off the ground’ in late 2014 as a starter centre, concentrating on Employability, but had to be abandoned due lack of funding (another learning curve). The remainder of this year and most of January 2016 will be preparation with the Team and the Trustees’ in waiting to ensure we are ready for the Project re-launch covering all the areas we deem the local community needs; • Employability Skills, • Basic Computing Skills • Media (a wide ranging objective which will be phased in on an element by element funding
