About Douglas Johnson

Doug Johnson has a 25-year track record building teams and technologies: building, deploying, marketing, selling, and managing high-technology products. He is a member of the Product Management team at Rocket Software.Doug comes to Rocket from Alfresco where he ran its open source process management platform along with the team overseeing Content Services, Information Governance, and UI Framework offerings. Prior to that, he helped Threat Security and their Endpoint Security products. Previously, Doug managed the Business Process Management (BPM) software portfolio at OpenText Corporation. His experiences include product strategy and planning, agile roadmap execution, pricing and packaging, sales enablement, and all things associated with the product lifecycle. He has also strongly contributed to multiple enterprise software products through technology and business changes including merger and acquisition initiatives along with strategic partnerships. He frequently contributes to public webinars, conference speaking, and analyst briefings.Interleaved with his 12 years of experience at OpenText (via various acquisitions: CommerceQuest, Metastorm then OpenText), Doug worked for Appear Networks, a forward-thinking context-based mobility startup out of Stockholm Sweden. He also managed territory sales at IBM’s Managed Network Services. Doug’s education includes a BA in Music Performance as well as an MBA in Marketing and Technology from the University of South Florida. Prior to a business career, Doug’s studies as a violinist led to numerous symphonic and solo performances in western classical music along with tours with popular artists including Sarah Brightman (“Phantom of the Opera”), Diana Ross, Moody Blues, and Ray Charles.
