KBEM FM is the Twin Cities premier Jazz station. Recognized as the Twin Cities’ public radio voice for jazz and education, KBEM is a program of the Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) Approximately 150 students annually participate in KBEM’s hands-on educational program, which focuses on all aspects of broadcasting and production. Students who develop their skills and select broadcasting experience can gain significant on-air time. The station is on-air 24/7 with 35 hours of student programming each week, with live professional announcers and pre-recorded, syndicated programming filling out the rest of the schedule. KBEM is the only station in the Twin Cities market which offers a jazz format and officially provides MN-DOT traffic reports.

Manager – Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (EBS) Development Direct management over projects across the spectrum of the EBS including, but not limited to, financial modules, Inventory and Warehouse Management, Service Contracts, OTC, Lockbox, PA, purge archiving. ERP Release Coordinator. Managed a team of 13 full-time project managers, business analysts, and developers and up to 20 contractors (including overseas) for EBS development. Assumed responsibility for all aspects of Oracle EBS development in February of 2011. Teleplan is a leading global provider of after sales services to the Telecommunications industry, and its customers. Developed the strategy and directed the move to a new facility with zero disruption in production or systems access. Specified, reviewed bids and managed the installation of alarm and phone systems. Lead the development of applications, which reduced product touch-time by 53% and increased data accuracy by 76% while making available real-time metrics for production tuning. Maintained and improved legacy systems while preparing for the deployment of a corporate ERP system hosted remotely. Actively managed the specification, development, testing and deployment of a Web based RMA system for a major OEM.

ExpressPoint provided post sale life cycle management for computer products to contract manufacturers and OEMs, maintenance organizations and large commercial users who self maintain. Managed the integration of three repair companies into one. Managed the conversion of a PC based accounting/inventory system to a larger integrated system (Dispatch-1) based on UNIX (AIX/RS6000) and the Progress database language. Designed and deployed a fully automatic EDI system (Sterling Commerce Gentran), to process purchase orders (EDI 850), shipping notification (EDI 856), invoicing (EDI 810) and repair requests (EDI 861).

Grew IT through 3 major mergers that trippled revenues. Implemented a new ERP and developed EDI interfaces to facilitate order processing, shipping, returns and invoicing.

Dataserv/Wang provided technical support and repair services for over 200 customers nationwide. Primary role was a UNIX/PROGRESS technical resource working at many different levels within the company. Specific tasks included the writing of Progress code, UNIX scripts, standards and documentation. Other tasks included providing internal consulting to business areas needing help making technology decisions and to the programming staff.

Jacobs Trading focused on the wholesale distribution business while exploring expanding into retail. Systems include an IBM RISC 6000 with a rapidly increasing PC network for accounting and marketing applications. Managed software improvements include standardizing programming utilities, established a formal testing and development environment and formalized the report request procedures to better control programming quality and accuracy.

Primary position was Programmer Analyst on a large database development project for the home care industry. Duties included writing specifications for programming modules, establishing the development environment and PROGRESS programming. Also worked closely with the accounting staff as the lead technical programmer for implementing a new accounting and financial package.

Specified software and hardware requirements for a new MIS system for production, manufacturing and accounting to be implemented on PC based UNIX platforms supporting up to 80 users. Specified and wrote a Technical Support/Lead and Warranty Tracking system for the Technical Support and marketing departments in the PROGRESS 4GL.

Developed software as part of the "Mapper to 4GL" conversion project.

Specified, deployed and supported a student claims tracking system to assist in insurance processing.
