I have recently joined FIS in a consultancy role. As a member of the Capital Markets branch, I will work with our clients to implement dedicated software packages. My post with King's College London exclusively concerned Twins UK - the largest adult registry of twins in the UK. I lead a project converting 30 years of data collection into a Common Data Model. Incorporating aspects of Data Engineering and demanding collaboration with third parties, this work enables Twins UK data to be standardised and therefore comparable with datasets from outside institutions.As a Data Scientist for the UK Health Security Agency (formerly Public Health England) I was responsible for automating updates, implementing data cleansing techniques and improving the visual clarity of existing figures. Much of my work was helping to develop aspects of the government's COVID-19 dashboard. Other work included a QA process for a regional assessment and statistically modelling vaccination uptake among different demographics.During my PhD in Atmospheric Science I acted as an instrument scientist investigating bioaerosol emission and dispersion patterns. As lead author on multiple research projects, I have published my work in peer-reviewed academic journals. I have experience in multiple programming languages, including Python, R and Matlab. I am able to produce high quality documents written in LaTeX, clear visualisations, interactive dashboards in PowerBI and am a confident public speaker, having presented my research at multiple international conferences.
