CurrentResearch and Advanced design development in vehicle powertrains based on Electrification. This includes Plug in Hybrids, Battery Electric and Fuel Cell Vehicle research and prototype development. Key contributor to SAE standards J1772(tm), J2836 & J2847 regarding Plug-In Vehicle connectivity and communications. Participated in ISO/IEC 15118 and 61851 development to harmonize with SAE documents.Committee Chairperson for SAE J2962 Communications Transceivers qualification requirements. Collaborated with OEMs, Suppliers and Tier1s to develop a common set of EMC deliverables for all interested parties and stakeholders.Advanced in-vehicle networking development. Research high speed networking, wiring design and requirements and network topology. This includes CAN-FD, Ethernet, and various LVDS video solutions.Key automotive contributor to IEEE 802.3 standards related to automotive Ethernet. Developing PHY (Layer 1/2) layer standards for 100Mbps, 1Gbps, 10Gbps and 10Mbps single pair automotive qualified Ethernet.SAE J2962 committee chairperson committed to releasing revised standards documents for the automotive community. As part of Vehicle Architecture for Data Communications committee that handles all common automotive networking solutions.
